The popularity of the PBS television show "Antiques Roadshow" has many people wondering if there is a treasure hidden in the attic. The only way to know for sure is to have the item appraised.

An antique or fine art appraisal is a necessary process for adequately insuring property, settling an estate, assessing insurance loss, or for equitable distribution.

Well-founded knowledge, experience and resources support our appraisal valuations using current market trends, including the most up-to-date auction results, price guides and reference materials.  To ensure accuracy and because antiques, fine art and collectibles are so diverse we are required to spend time on research and, when necessary, consult with a specialist. Every appraisal we perform is accompanied by a clearly written report in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

We specialize in honest appraisals; therefore, we will not try to buy the property we appraise, which is unethical unless one year has passed since the appraisal was completed.

Appraisal fees are charged on an hourly or fixed fee arrangement.  All appraisals are fee based.  We will be happy to quote our fee if you contact us.  Please have the courtesy to refrain from asking for a free appraisal.
